More Pictures From Thailand

Wat Khao Daeng is located in Sam Roi Yot National Park. It is not far from the southern entrance to the park. The location of the temple provides for some great photo taking opportunities Limestone cliffs tower above the temple enclosing it in a spectacular landscape. There is a Phra Ubosot and a Viharn on the site.

A Phra Ubosot is the holiest prayer room, also called the "ordination hall" because it is where ordinations take place.

The Viharn houses a very impressive set of bells across the front of the building and yes there are two naga guarding each stairway entrance to the building.

Wat Khao Daeng is accessible from the north or south end of the national park using the main access road, Route 1020. The park is well signposted in English and Thai from Highway 4 at either Pran Buri to the North or Kui Buri to the South.

Notice the boat on the klong in the picture above? It is worth taking the time to hire one of the boatmen to tour around Klong Khao Daeng. It is a pleasant scenic boat ride.
