Cabbages and Condoms Restaurant is located at Phra Tam Nak right on the beach. Travel down till almost opposite the Asia Hotel entrance and you will see the entrance to Cabbges and Condoms on the right. This is a restaurant not to be missed.

Not only will you see food and drink at the restaurant but you will also see lots of condoms arranged and displayed in many artistic ways. Lamp shades made from condoms, a few maniqins stylishly clothed in condoms and even a condom santa. That should really get youngsters tuned in to condoms.

The main entrance to Cabbages and Condoms Restaurant is shared with the entrance to Birds and Bees Resort. You will walk through a rainforest of trees and plants crossing a small stream full of fish on your way to the restaurant from the front entrance.

Along the path on your right as you approach the restaurant you will notice a small grassy field dotted with several real rabbits. This is a great attraction for children. You might be lucky to catch a glimpse of the resident squirrel as he hops along the sign at the restaurant entrance.

The Cabbages and Condoms Restaurant is the creation of Mechai Viravaidya

All through the 1990’s Mechai Viravaidya (Minister for tourism & AIDS prevention 1991-1992) also known as "Mr. Condom" campaigned tirelessly to increase the awareness of safe sex practices and use of condoms in Thailand.

In December 2006 in the role of UNAIDS Special Representative Senator Mechai Viravaidya led the attempt to create the world’s longest chain of condoms at Lumpini Park in Bangkok. And at the end of March 2007, confirmation arrived—at 2,715 meters long. The condom chain sets a new Guinness World Record™.
