Getting To Sunshine Beach
Sunshine beach is just south of Pattaya. Drive fifteen minutes along Sukhumvit Road and you will reach the T intersection on the right. You will see a sign on your left just before you reach the T intersection turn off to the beach. The sign reads "Sunshine Beach" Keep watching to your left after you have travelled about 13 kilometers from Pattaya because the sign is easy to miss.
If you do miss the sign then you can drive a further few kilometers and you will come to another larger intersection with traffic lights where you can turn right and drive into Ban Bang Sare fishing village. Keep going until you almost reach the ocean and take a right turn at the temple on your right to travel back along the beach side road to Sunshine Beach.
Sunshine Beach Corner Restaurant
One of the things I really like about the Sunshine Beach corner is the fact that the seating area and restaurant is located away from the main beach front road making it more private and quieter. It is one of the very few tranquil spots in the area.
Food at Sunshine Beach
The restaurant has a menu printed in English language and Thai. The cost of the food is reasonable and taste depends on who is doing the cooking. Sometimes its mum and other times her daughter. On average the food tastes good.
Swimming at Sunshine Beach
High tide is the best time for swimming at Sunshine Beach because low is so low that a person of average build could lie down and still have his head above water.
If I am wanting to take a serious swim at Sunshine Beach I will consult the tide table from the area then decide which day and time is appropriate. You will find a link to the local tides table at this weather page on YourPattaya.com.
